Khem Sharma
Khem, who landed in Australia in pursuit of higher education, had a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Ballarat. He has visited India, the USA, Malaysia, Dubai, China and Hongkong in the course of the business trips. Presently, he lives permanently with his wife in Sydney running his business.
Khem Sharma, who had been honoured by the Right Honourable President Mrs. Bidya Devi Bhandari on behalf of Press Council Nepal and the Prime Minister of Nepal Pushpa Kamal Dahal on behalf of Reporters’ Club of Nepal in recognition of his remarkable leadership in the campaigns including the specialised cleaning of Tribhuvan International Airport, the Pashupatinath Temple and Bir Hospital and other important contributions, was honoured by the Embassy of Nepal in Canberra, Australia.
At present he has been working as the honorary council member in Non-Residential Nepalese Association (NRNA) and he publishes articles on current affairs and contemporary concerns in the leading Nepalese media in Nepal and Australia. Equally active in spiritual meditation and practice, he published his first literary work ‘Swornim Rahasya” (The Golden Secret) as the outcome of his own application of his own experience.
Though the family migrated into Chitwan in 1982, Khem Sharma, born on 15 July 1985 in Tanahun, Khairenitar, Nepal, migrated into Bharatpur, Chitwan when he was six years old. The family including his mother Laxmi Marasini, father Kamal Kanta Sharma Marasini, wife Preeti Dahal Sharma, elder brother Bharat Sharma, sister-in-law Tara Rai Sharma, nieces Megha Sharma and Riya Sharma live in Bharatpur Metropolitan City, Nepal. At present, his brother’s family permanently live in the USA.
